Welcome to this the inaugural column of the Counselor's Corner.
I am Dr. Linda Stiles here to serve the Lord and you the reader with counseling and prophetic insight to God's Word. In my counseling practice I have coined the phrase "Truth and Recovery". The truth is God's Word, His revelation to us and it alone leads us into all recovery on every level of our souls.
When you asked God for forgiveness and accepted Him as your Lord and Savior, the Messiah, you became a child of the living God and your spirit became one with God in salvation. It is yet our soul, mind, will and emotions that continue to need God's insight, His wisdom, knowledge and understanding to grow, mature and walk-out that salvation in service to God, His Kingdom and our fellow man. What a joyous time we are living in despite what we hear on the news! Jesus has come, He has made a way for us and He is the Truth, the Life and the Way for us. He alone is the answer. His Holy Spirit will lead us into all truth and recovery.
In the issues to come, I will be listening to the Lord and praying for His desires for you and writing with words of hope, guidance enlightenment and encouragement. It is my hope and prayer that you will encounter truth and recovery and realize the love of God and how very important you are to Him. Jesus came that we may have life and have it more abundantly and to the fullest of our potential. Let us not grow weary in well doing. Today, seek His face and His presence. He wants to spend time with you now so He can shower you with His love, protection and direction. Make God your 1st priority and all will fall into place for you. John5:20 Wherever you apply God's Truth, you will recover! Read and pray aloud, declare, Psalm 101 over your life, it is God's truth. Suggested study: I John 1-5
