Dr. Roy G. Futch, ThD
Dr. Roy G. Futch served for 22 years in the United States Military, reaching the rank of Chief Petty Officer and receiving the honored position of Master Training Specialist for the United States Navy. While in military service, he received the equivalent of a four-year college degree in Electronic Engineering. During the last six years of his tenure, he was responsible for the development, procurement and installation of a multi-million dollar training system. He also designed and installed a Color Television Studio for the development of training materials for the Electronic Warfare School at Corry Station, Pensacola, Florida. He was a recipient of the Navy Achievement Medal, which is the third highest honor for enlisted personnel.
At the age of thirty-one while serving at the Navy Radar Bomb Scoring Unit in Spokane, Washington he gave his life to the Lord. Then, three years before retiring, he surrendered to the Lord's call to the Five-Fold Ministry.
Upon his retirement from military service in 1979, he continued his education earning his Associate of Divinity Degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. During that tenure he served as the senior pastor of Cheniere Baptist Church, Grande Isle, Louisiana. Dr. Futch had the privilege of seeing over 10% of the Grande Isle population come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ during his pastoral watch.
His Bachelor's Degree was earned in Biblical Studies; Master's Degree in Christian Psychology and Doctors Degree in Theology. Currently, he is in the final stages of receiving his PhD in Christian Psychology from Jacksonville Theological Seminary. He was appointed as Satellite Director of the Orlando Branch of Jacksonville Theological Seminary.
Dr. Larry Lea of Church on the Rock, commissioned him to teach prayer clinics throughout Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, and California. This allowed him the opportunity to travel with Dr. Lea to National Prayer Breakthroughs in Rockwall, Texas; Los Angeles, California; Chicago, Illinois; Miami, Florida; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; San Francisco, California; Jerusalem, and Tel-Aviv, Israel.
Dr. Futch has also been involved in reaching out to the nations through Christian International. His strong compassion and commitment to reaching others for Jesus Christ and disciplining them to maturity so they also may reach and teach others remains his primary passion. He has extensive experience in Christian Family Counseling, as well.
Along with his wife, Naomi, he also served as the senior pastor of Howell Branch Baptist Church, Winter Park, Florida, and Church on the Rock, Winter Springs, Florida. They are now the Founders and Senior Pastors of Orlando Prayer and Worship Center - International, of the Greater Orlando, Florida Area where they give Apostolic & Prophetic oversight.
Dr. Futch's experience and passion for lost souls, prayer and discipleship has made him a Master Training Specialist for the Kingdom of God!
